The Competition Practitioner Pack

The Competition embeds basic skills in a new motivational learning programme which challenges learners to design and host a sports competition.

The Competition is aimed at learners who:

• are interested in sport and who either are already studying for PE/sport-related qualifications or who hope to do so
• have weaknesses in literacy and numeracy.

The Competition contains the following resources:

• a step-by-step guide to running the programme
• practitioner resource pack
• CD-ROM including interviews with young people who work in the industry
• learner notebook.

Agored Cymru accreditation has been mapped to The Competition, with three credits at Level 1.
