Poetry Enrichment Practitioner
Lead learners towards writing poetry and appreciating poetic form. This creative writing programme looks at different types of poetry and aspects of writing while guiding learners to develop their own perspective and voice. The practitioner pack introduces the aims and plan of the programme and sets out sessions, including:
- To rhyme or not to rhyme
- The shape of a poem
- Poems from the imagination.
The practitioners' notes lay out literacy and numeracy objectives and link the programme to other programmes and useful external resources. The practitioners' resources book and CD link in with the sessions and help to make the programme interactive.
The pack consists of practitioners' notes (60pp), a practitioners' resources book (36pp), a learners' anthology (48pp) and notebook (48pp), and a CD that is both an audio CD and a CD-ROM.
These enrichment materials were developed by ECOTEC Research and Consulting Ltd and Artists on behalf of the Arts Council England and the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales.
