Summer Arts Colleges 2011

Posted 02.09.2011

In 2011, we worked with over 45 Youth Offending Teams around England and Wales, delivering the successful Unitas Summer Arts Colleges programme. 45 Summer Arts Colleges ran for three weeks in July and August 2011.

To date, over 1300 young people have received the Bronze Arts Award, a qualification backed by Trinity Guildhall and Arts Council England, and there have also been a number of Silver Arts Awards achieved.

Summer Arts Colleges are intensive educational projects designed to re-engage young people in education, training and employment through the provision of vibrant arts experiences. Summer Arts Colleges were originally launched six years ago as part of the Youth Justice Board and Arts Council England’s strategic partnership.

An outcomes report of the Summer Arts Colleges will be available soon; keep checking the Unitas website for up-to-date information.
